Photography-Related
-
The Yorkshire Stills Archive - reviewing over 60,000 photographic images to develop an online library that will help Destination Yorkshire with its future promotional endeavours. Partners for this project include Screen Yorkshire, Yorkshire Forward, the Regional food Group, Welcome to Yorkshire, Marketing Leeds and the Area Tourism Partnerships in this region
Film commissions
- Science City York and the York and North Yorkshire Cultural Partnership - Films were produced for the York and North Cultural Strategy Launch Conference in Scarborough, York Cultural Symposium and Illuminate York Festivals testing our abilities to produce visually exciting and creative work balanced by the necessary amount of educational and factual content so that the resources act as a sustainable record of these excellent events
-
National Skills Academy for Nuclear - as part of an independent evaluation of a 4-year funded programme we are developing a portfolio of films between 2009 and 2012 that will track the progress of young 'community apprentices' hoping to develop skills that will help them forge a career in the industry and change their lives for the better
-
Yorkshire Gold - a variety of films have been produced featuring visits by London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games dignitaries to the region and highlighting the legacy opportunities for young people, business and communities alike
-
Sheffield City Council - Lord Sebastian Coe visited the English Institute of Sport as part of his ambition to inspire every region in the UK to maximise the opportunities of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Skyblue Creative was there to film the day in full which included some amazing athletic performances, world class diving over at Ponds Forge, the launch of the London 2012 'Have you got what it takes' enterprise challenge with 40 kids from Barnsley and Newham and a business meeting with the Serbian president - our footage was soon to be seen on Serbian TV shortly afterwards
-
'The Learning Legacy' - a film commission involving children and young people, students and businesses that 'without any words' visualises what sort of learning opportunities there are linked to the values and philosophy of the Olympic movement
Events
-
The 'Celebrating Ability' event taking place on the 22nd of September was conceived by Skyblue Creative in 2009 and is inspired by the values of the Paralympic Games. It will see the delivery of a major signature event in York - the first of its kind - celebrating the abilities of people with disabilities and learning difficulties in the arenas of sport, business and culture
-
Partner Briefing Events - a recent example was a briefing at Government office in Leeds for 50 Network partners which included not only traditional elements such as expert and key note speaker presentations, but team-quizzes, interactive skills competitions and demonstrations and the full use of film and digital media to make the event memorable and worthwhile for delegates
