Do you need to put in place a strategy or plan for developing a skills, employment or education legacy as a result of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in London?
Skyblue has assisted 5 of the English Regions since 2006 develop Games-related skills, employment and education strategies, frameworks, localised action plans, regional networks, conferences, vision statements, seminars, workshops and bespoke surveys to identify the potential for achieving useful outcomes catalysed by the Games. Skyblue's consultancy team were also responsible for authoring a national report assessing the skills needed to ensure the visitor experience and sports presentation aspects of the Games are understood and in place ready to welcome the world in 2012. Commissions have been undertaken for: Yorkshire and the Humber Learning and Skills Council; South East England Development Agency (in relation to the rowing venue Dorney Lake); East Midlands Learning and Skills Council; Sport England North West; One North East. Work has included business surveys, partnership capacity building and awareness raising and putting in place regional governance structures and virtual networks to get people involved in Games-related activity.
