Security & Quality Control - Quality Assurance
Practical quality assurance processes depending on the nature of our service are as follows:
- Regular project progress reports to our client (typically weekly e-mails / checkpoint reports supplemented with agreed interim face to face review meetings as necessary)
- Ongoing database maintenance / relationship management records i.e. noting down when interviews / correspondence has taken place and the outcome of each conversation for future reference as necessary
- Technical proof-reading of analyses and reports
- Contingency planning to ensure sufficient time to allow our client to review and refine draft reports before any final report is signed off
- Telephone interviewers are IQCS (Interviewer Quality Control Scheme) trained and abide by the Market Research Society Code of Conduct ensuring that respondents volunteering their time and opinions during this project are respected at all times
- Quality assured processes in respect of data protection, database management and permissions that need to be sought from respondents for any development work following completion of contracts for our clients
Good practice has been learned and applied from Skyblue’s membership of the UK Evaluation Society including:
- Ensuring there is clarity with our client about project purpose, methods, intended outputs and outcomes
- Alerting our client to any possible adjustments required to method based on close and careful daily project management procedures
- Insistence on a full and detailed set-up meeting with our client to ensure operational (as well as strategic) details are fully covered and responsibilities duly distributed within agreed timescales
- A formal complaints procedure should there be any issues arising during the contract period
- Transparency in terms of making any consultation or survey instruments readily available to our client prior to any fieldwork / engagement commencing
- Comprehensive and appropriate use of all evidence available so that report recommendations and conclusions can be tracked back to specific / raw data as necessary
- Ensuring safe and secure storage of data
- Acknowledging intellectual property and the work of others
- Writing and communication our report findings in accessible language
- Agreeing with our client at the outset the nature of dissemination in order to maximise the deliverables produced during any contract
For all our creative work we provide appropriate film / photography release and consent form documentation, and check the quality of our work with our client through a rigorous validation / editing process through to successful sign-off of the resources produced. Graphic design commissions also follow a formal and clear process of editing and validation prior to print / supply to our client for multi-media use.
