Do you need to engage with employers and develop skills solutions that will have credibility?
Understanding what businesses need, and how to engager employers in workforce development is critical to changing training, skills and employment cultures in the workplace. The vast majority of Skyblue’s research commissions include an element of consultation with employers and the subsequent development of relevant skills products, services or qualifications that have a proven demand, or that will help address market failure. Examples include developing easy-to-use employer-facing skills websites and networks; online directories signposting businesses to quality assured training provision; or conferences, fora or business exchange events that bring their needs to the heart of the skills agenda. Recent commissions include examination of requirements for business improvement techniques and leadership and management training in a range of UK sectors.
